SAFETY NETS

Safety nets are provsional collective protection systems studied to hold the operator in the event of a fall. Thanks to their geometric characteristics, safety nets are especially suitable for the protection of large surfaces, such as assembly works on supporting carpentry structures for roofing support of buildings or infrastructures, or to protect skylights without shatter-proof certification or during the assembly phases of prefabricated structures.
Somain Italia offers a range of “S” type 10x10cm polyamide and polypropylene square or diamond mesh nets, available in stock in various standard sizes. Custom sized nets (in compliance with current regulations) are available upon request and can be prepared in just a few days.
Somain Italia nets have a 5 years warranty and must undergo yearly inspections, carried out by sending the company samples of material on the side of the net for chemical and physical analysis to verify good conditions of the fibres.

Allukemi Step Gangways

ALLUKEMI STEP GANGWAYS

Aluminum gangways line, designed to provide safe routes and prevent falls from heights, both with regard to access, transit and execution of work at height on non-bearing surfaces. The gangways can also be safe routes, even on non-load bearing, in case of evacuation or emergency.
Allukemi Step™ gangways are composed of lateral profile sections and 25 cm deep walkway surfaces with variable width from 60 to 120 cm in a single span. Both components are manufactured in corrosion-resistant aluminium alloy and fastened to the joints and supports with stainless steel hardware.
Thanks to their structure, the profiles and surfaces can be assembled to compose ladders and shed passages or steep slopes. Our technical department is available to study and implement the best solutions for any problem and structure.
Allukemi Step™ gangways can be accompanied by Allukemi Sky™ railings on one or both sides, or else by a Securail® rail. In the first case, it becomes a collective protection system which allows for transit in areas exposed to the hazard of falls from heights without the use of PPE while, in the latter case, the operator must connect his harness to the slider trolley by means of a lanyard or retractable fall arrest device.

Allukemi Sky Railings

ALLUKEMI SKY RAILINGS

ALLUKEMI SKY ™ is a collective protection device which complies with EN ISO 14122-3: 2003 (fixed version also respects the Technical Standards on Constructions – NTC 2008 – for variable loads cat. H1).

Railings consist of aluminum extrusions and die-cast aluminium alloy for bases and connecting elements that allow the joint between vertical and horizontal elements, the overcoming of height differences and horizontal changes of direction.

The uprights, straight or inclined, are arranged every 150cm, while the space between the horizontal profiles must not exceed 50cm. For this reason it is essential to know the conformation of the structure on which you will fix the railing.

ALLUKEMI SKY ™ with permanent fixing can be fixed directly on concrete structure with on floor, wall, protruding, flashing, reclining connections. Self-supporting version shouldn’t be fixed on the structure in a way to keep the coverage intact, thanks to neoprene slab interposed between the structure and railing elements. The resistance to capsizing and displacement is ensured by 25kg concrete counterweights grafted into the base with an horizontal arm.

The system has a 10-year guarantee with no obligation of annual maintenance and is certified by Apave.
